Centurion has hands down the worst cgi blood I have ever seen in my life. Unfortunately I couldn’t find a gif to properly illustrate so here’s a shirtless Fassbender rolling in the snow.
Saw Snow White and the Huntsman yesterday and Charlize Theron completely steals the show. Overall a lot better then I expected, the visual effects were pretty impressive (coming from someone who’s not a fan of cgi) and the costumes were stunning. Other then Queen Ravenna (Theron) and her slimy brother Finn (Sam Spurell) all of the characters are pretty bland and undeveloped. That being said though, Chris Hemsworth proves himself yet again as a worthy action star and Kristen Stewart was actually somewhat likeable, though that may have been due to a serious lack of dialogue. I also found it interesting how they choose to use non dwarf actors such as Nick Frost, Bob Hoskins, and Toby Jones to play the dwarfs. Whatever the reasons it was probably some of the best cgi body manipulation I’ve ever seen (take note Tron Legacy). I’d recommend this purely for Theron’s performance.
Come this time next week if I’m not sauntering into the first screening of Prometheus I better be dead.
