Daily Movie Review! - Vampire’s Kiss (1988)

And the Lord of Crazy himself, Nicholas Cage hits another one out of the park. This is definitely of ‘wtf?’ type of movie.

Cage is a hotshot executive type at a literary firm who slowly descends into madness when he inexplicably starts to think he is turning into a vampire. There’s also a subplot involving Cage slowly mentally torturing his office assistant…so yeah, it’s a weird movie.

On the other hand it is also extremely excellent. This is one of the movies I quote fairly regularly and who wouldn’t!? It’s got some pretty ridiculous dialogue and it certainly helps that Cage is saying everything in a super bizarre accent (allegedly intentional…).

I don’t know what else to say, Nicholas Cage pretending to be a vampire….yup.
